Connect to eduroam on Linux

Connecting on Linux is slightly more complicated, but we're here to help you every step of the way!

  1. First, select the Wireless icon on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to display the available wireless networks. Select ncsu.
  2. Open a web browser, and go to https://go.ncsu.edu/eduroam2.
  3. You’ll see a screen prompting you to download a helper application. Click JoinNow.
  4. Open a Terminal window, and navigate to the directory that you downloaded the application to. Type sh SecureW2_JoinNow.run to run the application. Do not run the script as root or sudo.
  5. You’ll be prompted to log in via Shibboleth.
  6. You’re done!
