Connect to eduroam on ChromeOS
Connecting on Chromebook is slightly more complicated, but we're here to help you every step of the way!
- First, select the Wireless icon on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen to display the available wireless networks. Select ncsu.
- Open a web browser, and go to https://go.ncsu.edu/eduroam2.
- You’ll see a screen prompting you to download a helper application. Please make sure that it lists Chromebook as your operating system. Click JoinNow.
- A file called SecureW2.onc will download, and a new browser page will open.
- Click “Choose File” under Import ONC file and select the most recent SecureW2.onc that you’ve downloaded.
- Finally, click on the Wireless icon again and switch to the eduroam network. You’ll need to make sure the following values are set:
EAP Method: EAP-TLS
EAP Type: EAP-TLSServer CA: Select the Root
User Certificate: should already been selected for you
Identity: unity-id@ncsu.edu (your Unity email address) - You’re done!
